When the young couple Matty and Michelle branched off from their roots in Florida in the mid-90s, they fell in love with Chimney Rock, NC. Fueled by their passion for the water, they named their new waterfront restaurant RiverWatch Deli & Grill. 

And since it opened in 1999, RiverWatch has entrenched itself in Chimney Rock's culture and community. The restaurant quickly became famous for its gourmet and delicious burgers. In 2012, when the sale of alcohol became legal in Chimney Rock Village, RiverWatch built the Village's very first bar!

From vacationer's mountain paradise to the local neighborhood eatery,

this waterfront restaurant has experienced it all, growing along with its hometown. 

Today, RiverWatch is known as the best and longest-running restaurant in Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. 

As one of Western North Carolina's favorite restaurants, RiverWatch has been recognized with multiple awards, including the #1 Restaurant in Chimney Rock and Best Burger in North Carolina!

Family will always lie at the heart of RiverWatch. Matty, Michelle, their son Joey, their daughter Shelly, and her husband Ben, are all vital contributors to our family-operated business.
